Bolted stool, no glue
Nine parts, four bolts, one hex key. Flat-packs, and every joint can be tightened by whoever owns it in 2040.

What I did
Glue is the cheapest joint and the last one. It makes a chair that cannot be taken apart, which means it cannot be repaired, which means it becomes waste the first time a leg loosens.
This version costs about eleven euros more to make. In exchange the whole thing comes apart with one hex key, and the parts that wear, the two cross rails, are the two cheapest to replace.
