Results took eleven seconds. The spinner made it feel like failure; a progress narrative made it feel like work being done.

What I did

Eleven seconds is far past where a spinner stops reassuring anybody. Support tickets said the app had crashed; it had not, it was waiting on a lab.

The replacement narrates: received, queued, read by a technician. Same eleven seconds, and the tickets stopped.

Nothing about the wait changed except that it stopped pretending.
