A portfolio website that shows how the work was made
A portfolio has to show the finished work, and the reader also wants to see how you got there. exploremehere turns your résumé, your notes on each project and your files into an online portfolio, with pictures as a gallery or a carousel and room for video, audio and documents. It suits students in design, product, engineering and research, whether it goes to an interviewer or to an admissions office.
A page for each project
On the home page, a project is a card and a sentence or two. A click opens its own page (Plus and Pro): the background, what you did, and the pictures and files from the work. Press “Let Mimi expand it” to write the page with her, or “Add my own content” to write it yourself.
Interactive works, for the reader to click through
Some projects don't come across in words and pictures alone. An interactive work turns one entry into something a visitor can explore, on that entry's own page, in one of 9 formats. Start one empty or from an example, or let Mimi draft it from the entry in Boost (Plus and Pro). A work with points still to confirm stays hidden from visitors. A few of the formats:
- Timeline: the work stage by stage, and visitors pick a stage to read about it.
- Before and after: two pictures, one over the other, and a slider to see what changed.
- Decision: the options you weighed, the trade-off of each, and the one you chose.
- Product demo: a small working app that visitors go through themselves.
- Also: hotspots, data, video chapters, scroll story, and contribution map.
Portfolio templates by field
The template gallery is sorted into Professional, Tech, Creative, Minimal & editorial, and Warm & crafted. Each template says who it suits, and the ones with a full example site open into it. Every template is free, and once you pick one, the colours, type, spacing and motion can each be changed on their own. You can also leave the design to the AI.
A portfolio for study abroad
For a programme application, switch to Study under Tailored websites, confirm the school, programme and intake, and read the programme's official requirements. After the analysis you choose which projects lead, and a separate version is made, on a link of its own. Whether a school accepts an outside website is up to its own rules, and until they say so, don't submit the site as an official application document.
How to make one
01
Gather the work
Upload your résumé, put pictures, video and PDFs in Materials, and tell the AI which project each file belongs to and which part was yours.
02
Pick a look
Choose a portfolio template in the gallery, or let the AI design the site from your content.
03
Open up the projects, then publish
Give your main projects pages of their own (Plus and Pro) and add interactive works, check the site, publish and send the link.
Questions
- Are the portfolio templates free?
- Yes. Every template, palette, typeface and effect is on every plan, and you can switch at any time.
- Can I show videos and PDFs?
- Yes. Put pictures, video, audio, PDFs and documents in Materials, then tick Show on this website. A video can be a muted background or a player, pictures can be a gallery or a carousel, and a document can be a download.
- Does the free plan give each project its own page?
- Giving a project a page of its own is on Plus and Pro, and interactive works live on those pages, so they need it too. On the free plan, with 1 site, projects sit on the home page with their pictures, video and files.
- Can I submit the site with a study-abroad application?
- That depends on the school. Until its rules say it accepts an outside website, don't send the site as an official application document. Make a tailored version for the programme, and add its link where the rules allow one.
